In short
Chris and Jason trade pop-culture and internet commentary while traveling (London, East Hampton, festival weather), then pivot to celebrity news: Kareem/Emmys hype, J.Lo gossip, Dua Lipa’s Italy wedding, Taylor Swift’s “no phones” concert policy, and broader debates about attention, authenticity, and climate/weather.
Guests
None. The episode is hosted by Chris Black and Jason Stewart (no additional guests appear in the transcript).
Guest backgrounds
Not applicable (no guests).
Key claims
- Kareem’s viral momentum is boosted by Emmy eligibility, including “FYC” campaigns that require schmoozing older voters.
- J.Lo’s “not a New Yorker unless born here” line is framed as a click-generating stance; rumors about her allegedly trying to suppress a gossip leak are discussed.
- Dua Lipa’s wedding in Italy is criticized for disrupting a small town (including claims of paying a local pizza place to shut down).
- Taylor Swift’s “no phones” rule is debated as potentially classist/ableist, but the hosts argue it’s mainly about improving the live experience and that infrastructure matters at large venues.
Notable examples
- “Crazy Days and Nights” gossip lore; “pill.com” used to identify a found pill (blood pressure medication).
- Festival cancellations/rescheduling due to severe weather (Gov Ball/Primavera; co-working space blown away).
- Phoebe Bridgers tour: “no phones” at arenas; discussion of backlash and possible tech alternatives.

Transcript

And they are using this podcast to slow down the news and wrestle with the questions that we all have about what's happening in the world. And they do it three times a week. Jason, does that sound familiar to you?
0:13Jason Stewart:We don't really talk about, you know, a lot of international global news items and climates and cultures and sports and things like that. We do talk about fashion and wellness, but for everything else, Kai and Carter are a great place. All right, so who couldn't use more news? Listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube.
0:49how long gone uh chris black here with my illustrious coach jason stewart i am in uh east hampton on a little family holiday so i am looking at trees which they keep telling me is really good for me i don't know if you have any data to to back that up who are these are the
1:07Jason Stewart:people who are telling you this just random scientists or the loved ones oh scientists and loved ones are out of the picture completely this is mostly twitter and stuff so no so no no necessary no no sort of uh no experts let's say in the field the opposite of scientists and family members twitter exactly exactly okay yeah i'm good i'm good it's um you know just a whirlwind weekend got back from london as you obviously know and then had a nice i was able to reacclimate with with american time zones very well went to sleep had a great night's sleep and then went to the uh keep the meter running la premiere with our friend kareem and um adam phase did a little q a it was nice and you know had a little del taco for din and here we are where was the where was the keep the meter running when does the kareem promo cycle and it feels it feels like maybe we're on a treadmill of kareem promo cycle we are yes between this you know his youtube is tv blah blah blah and j-lo and j-lo saying that if you're not born in new york you're not a new yorker it's been a huge week for for cream huge month for cream the guy is good at going viral um you know say what you want about the guy great at going viral now he i was talking to him last night and he was saying the reason why it's the the push feels even more so is that now that quote-unquote new media is eligible for emmys so it's a fyc yeah so in addition to like you said his his very famous shows and rolling out premieres for all these things he's also doing uh fyc campaigns and having to go hang out with the fucking i can't old weirdos who are the the voting he's like i gotta hang out with some old guy who was like on an episode of mash in 1977 and he's the one who's gonna control the fate of my future if kareem if kareem gets an emmy and we can't give him that there's too much power for the brown guy living in connecticut to also have an emmy in his house you know what i mean his neighbors will finally be nice to him this could be this could actually affect his output i think if you if you really think about it but i'm happy for him because it seems like the response is very positive yes not to j-lo um but that is that is the well he actually said that j-lo was very chill and he said well the rumor the rumors online the rumors online say otherwise i don't know if you're familiar with all my all my real gossip heads in here will know uh crazy days and nights which is one of the og like web web 1.0 gossip websites it's it's more of a twitter follow for most people now crazy days and nights okay kabe kuddy album it's like a it's it's been around since literally like like web 1.0 and it's sort of like this it's a apparently they uncovered who it was but for a long time they said it was it was like an anonymous entertainment lawyer is the is the lore that they tried to try to weave and it said that that that j-lo didn't want that to come out is what i is what i heard um but really that's what i heard but kareem don't give a fuck that's why that's why kareem is winning is because kareem don't give a fuck he said j-lo i might never see you again but you saying you're not a new yorker unless you're born here is going to get the clicks of a lifetime yeah which is which is good and also So, you know, if you are J-Lo and you are, you know, obviously she would only say that if she was a born and raised New Yorker.
4:31Jason Stewart:So, you know, she's sort of able to stand on business there. But I guess I wonder why she would want it to not be released. You know, because celebrities. Just like looking back, I may have, I may look like an idiot. Well, I mean, I think every single person who does a subway take looks like an idiot. That's the whole point. That's the whole thing. I can't think of one person. I would say not every single person, but it's a treacherous, you know, I think of it as like, you know, those American Ninja Warrior shows where like most people ease, you know, most people do not make it through. And every one in a hundred, you're like, damn, okay, this is a good one.
5:11Jason Stewart:You didn't get you. You did a good job. You know, not that the show is bad, but just more so like this is a new fresh take that I find myself surprisingly agreeing with. Bravo. I think Ed saying men shouldn't sit down on the subway is actually really good. But I do think that J-Lo was sent in to save him from himself. Because I think they were coming for him. Basically what happens is if there's a bad one, there's a worse one the next week. So everybody's fine. That's the beauty of the whole thing. Are you talking about our news headlines or are you talking about subway tags? I'm talking about all of the above.
5:47I mean, I had to read about... I need to tell... What's up, bro? can Seth Rogen talk about anything but smoking weed? I don't understand. Like, we get it, bro. You look stoned. We know you're stoned. Stop talking about it. Like, I don't need to hear that you smoke weed every day for 20 years. I don't care.
6:05Jason Stewart:Okay. Here's what I think is, let's not blame the toker. I think he doesn't want to sit down and do all these interviews where a person from crazy days and nights level. He wishes that's who it was. No, this is a real, the one that you're talking about is not that. I'm just saying the only reason why he's talking about it is because people ask him about it. He doesn't walk around town looking for people with cameras to offer his opinions on smoking. Put him out to pasture. I've had enough of his shit. If you don't want to do interviews, then don't make TV shows. It's like this shit that, what's his name?
6:37Sean Penn saying that he's never going to go to anything with over eight people again. Sean Penn was like, I'm tired of taking selfies. I'm tired of this shit. I'm never going to anything with over eight people again, which is such a fun number.
6:50Jason Stewart:number i'm not happy about an eight top so just you know that's what is eight like where did you get eight from because because dinner is four maybe six maybe eight if for a birthday or something yeah for a birthday i think i think sean has his reasons and we have to respect it because sean is oh he's one of the last great old dogs you know i respect i respect all of it i just think it's a cool number because it feels like he just absolutely pulled it out of his hat there seems to be no rhyme or reason for the eight it just seems like i don't want it to you know i don't want to go You don't want to smell that hat either.
7:19Definitely. There was like a paparazzi of him walking into the Greenwich Hotel, and it looked like he had a lit cigarette in his mouth, but I think it was unlit. And I was like, damn, bro, you're walking in. That's too good. But I think it was unlit. I think he's too respectful.
7:32Jason Stewart:I like the way, I mean, Sean Penn, we need him to stay alive as long as possible because he's one of the only people who's like, fuck all y 'all, like this is all horse shit. He's one of the only people left who's really like truly defiant you know he's a defiant one i just love that i just love that his vibe is either like i hate hollywood this is a nightmare or i'm in sudan like cosplaying as a member of the military there's no he has no you never see him doing anything normal like you never see sean you know you never see sean penn just like you know what i mean like he's not if there's a paparazzi photo of him it's him going somewhere where he looks mad and wants to punch the photographer like the famous photo of him or it's him in a in a war-torn country you know doing whatever he does there which i'm still unclear on exactly oddly enough the only time he looks like he's a normal person doing normal things is when he's in a movie anything in real life it's it's it's stranger than fiction i mean that's i mean that's when you know your job is is the right job for you yeah pen never change you old fucking baseball mitt bastard he is he is a baseball admit with hair non non-derogatory i mean he i love a guy like sean penn where he's like yeah i'm 70 years old i'm 5 '4 and every woman want every woman wants to fuck me yeah he can steal your chick he can steal your chick no no problem no no questions asked he's because he's the last of a dying breed it is it is a it is a powerful and i want him to breed me no i know you do i know you do i've heard worse from you oh um update that um that pill we found on the floor
9:10Jason Stewart:some tests unfortunately for us blood pressure medication oh yeah we found it we found a pill on the hotel floor in london and i of course picked it up and um you know i gave it to jason immediately for him to identify using uh pill.com or whatever the whatever the website uk over there yeah whatever the website is but i was i was hoping for you but you know they're so tight with real drugs in the uk as far as prescription goes i i didn't i was hopeful but not not uh i I mean, yeah, because the hotel we were at, it was a continental destination, people all over the world. So that could have been, you know, something more dazzling and recreational.
9:47Good point. It could have been the good Brazilian shit. You never know. You never know. The good North Carolina shit.
9:52Jason Stewart:What country got the best pills? Do you know? Oh, definitely America. Definitely America. It's America, right? Yeah, I would. Unless there's some shit. I mean, obviously, I haven't done extensive research anywhere but the US of A. But I would assume that we want to kill our citizens the most for profit. not to go Patrick Red and Keefe mode here, but I think that probably as far as diabolically hating our own people, we have to be number one. Yeah, that's true. I mean, we have no problem dishing them out, but I wonder if there's like, you know, the same way like wine, you know, different regions have different varietals and you know, like...
10:25Of course, yeah.
10:26Jason Stewart:People talk about the Chinese peptides. What about the Brazilian benzos? You know what I mean? It's a little bit more, there's a little more in the back end there. Brazilian Benzos are playing with Slater tonight somewhere. No, you're right. Brazilian, yeah, they're a Savannah Bananas B League team. Yeah, they're actually, no, the shortstop's crazy. You can do a backflip while catching a foul ball. You can do a backflip, but actually, no, right now, he's actually, he's asleep. If you guys could just be quiet, most of the team is asleep right now. That is a really good question, actually. I just feel like we are the loosest with it.
10:56And I never heard of any other country having sort of the epidemic that we had during the real pill mill years in, you know, like florida i just i feel like i've never but i'm sure yeah china's like we're just making all that stuff we don't do it it's like it's like a black drug dealer he don't do cocaine he sells it it's not they're not you know what i mean like the the sacklers ain't on the stuff they're just
11:16Jason Stewart:white boy white boy dealer he's turning the bag inside out he's licking it a hundred percent white boy dealers that's the problem that's the problem white boys fuck everything up that we know that we're doing it right now is there a name for male snow bunnies by the way just on the topic oh good question i think we would have to ask someone who um from the gay community happy pride of course uh i i'm sure there is i don't know what what makes it gay why can't you know black black woman white man this is my little snow bunny but male oh i see i was thinking more okay i'm sorry i was thinking more of like a tina user i wasn't thinking i'm sorry tina user say more about that please i just mean that tina feels like the whitest drug of all time but i i don't know actually that's a good question jason we should somebody will chime in i'm sure i'm sure there is a there's a phrase for that let's get mona on the horn okay i just so give us the update okay i i i asked you know the internet if female is to bunny male is to x and they said um try buck snow buck you know what i mean that's me because i think is i think is a male rabbit called a buck as well no no no it's called a hare h-a-r-e i believe pause for knowing that i don't know i honestly that came to me very quickly and i do apologize i don't know why or how but i do think you and joe rogan mode they're actually called hares they mate from april to november i'm just such a love to shoot one with my gun i'm such a bugs lover that i've done you know i've done some research a male rabbit is called a buck and a female rabbit is called a doe a baby rabbit is called a kit or a kitten bunny is nothing's called a hair bunny itself is not gender specific male or female damn okay go off bunny i didn't know that i got a hair sprain now well jason that means well that means now that bunny could go for either one which is is confusing since it's not binary damn okay i guess a hair and a rabbit are technically different oh i see there's hairs are born with fur and open eyes while rabbits are born hairless and blind.
13:24Jason Stewart:Rabbits live in burrows and hares nest above ground. Shit on a shingle. You think you know something, huh? Wow. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I misspoke and thank God that we have access to the World Wide Web that can correct this information so people out there aren't. Thank God you got a snowbuck who's good at Google, huh? Snowbuck? My snowbuck? Oh, man. Let's see if that... I didn't know that rabbits and deer share the same coding. And this proves that we're real city slickers because I do not. That feels like information that should be reserved for farm hands. I don't know where I would have learned that because if they didn't teach me that in school, like for some reason, hair came to me immediately and I have no idea why.
14:03But Buck.
14:03Jason Stewart:Because all day you dream about hair, bald ass. Because. But I don't know because I don't know. I don't know if. Yeah, I just think I think Buck is such a deer term. Like it's crazy. it's it's really like deer really have a deer term to me like they really have ownership over it though you know what i mean like they really do like there is no room changes today sweetheart yeah especially during pride week pride month i should say yesterday national bottom day i want to give a shout out to my bots i saw that the only bot i like yeah well i like depending on what sneakers i'm trying to get i like them too uh yeah i that is i'm trying to get my when i'm talking about bro they're they're my my fyp be talking about ariana looking looking to apparently the tour kicked off and she's looking like she could blow away chest bony as hell we need to pray for ariana grande is not giving grande she's giving tall not even bro whatever whatever oh in this in the in the stir in the stirbucks terminal i was gonna say dopio i was gonna say dopio cup i was gonna say dopio cup that's that's how real it is yeah it's actually it's pretty bad but i didn't see i didn't watch the clips with sound on because um i don't you know i don't really which is ironic because that might be the only good part about those yeah she can sing her ass off no no no the art of the arena we're gonna call it this episode of how long gone is brought to you by squarespace obviously jason you and i spend a lot of time on the world wide web sort of our peers our listeners our friends our colleagues obviously maybe even your parents if they're freaky.

18:30The arianators know that she can sing her butt off, but they seem to be worried about her. But they're not going to not buy tickets or anything, so that should be fine.
18:36Jason Stewart:It's tough. It's a tough thing. There's no right way to deal with it, no wrong way to deal with it. You got to respect the space. You got to respect the person's boundaries, but you care about them a lot. And, you know, it's giving ribcage. No, it's sad. But I also think she is one of those female celebrities who has like the fat evil mom who's like been involved in the career since she was like a baby so i feel like how else do you get to this level you know no really but i think once you have that situation i think you're you're sort of boundary everything's fucked up i think that's one of the worst thing stage parenting especially when it works is probably one of the worst things for for the the actor actress musician whatever you know anything worse than having the the stage parent is when they're fat.
19:22Jason Stewart:Is that what you're saying? I get it. No, I mean, think about Misha Barton's mom. I don't want to go back to it, but it feels very clear that there is a person really, really living their dreams in an unhealthy way through their child that is so obviously damaging to their health, both physical and mental. Friend of the show, Tim Dillon, was sort of talking about this on his last episode. I listened to it yesterday about every parent of a child actor, a celebrity child personality whatever you know there's there's a good part of them that that hates that child like oh yeah 100 and you you do things out of jealousy that are you know subconscious actions that you don't even know you're doing but also the help of that adult who's like look i'm i'm not able to make it i have the skills i'm a good coach not a good player so i'm gonna put you through the ringers and uh you know you're gonna make it you're gonna find success, but you're going to have scar tissue.
20:20The only cool celeb parents are the ones that I'm not going to say don't care about your success but aren't involved or invested in it whatsoever. Like maybe they'll come to premiere or they'll come to a show, but that's it. You know what I mean? They don't ask you for money. They don't do this. They don't do that. They're supportive, but keep an arm's length, let's say, from the fame aspect. That's the only way for it. You need a doctor dad. You know what I mean? Who's got his own thing going.
20:45Jason Stewart:We would all love to have a doctor dad, wouldn't we, Chris? I'm sure Claro's dad doesn't hit the cash out, let me hold a little 200 real quick. You know what I mean? We don't have to deal with that. Let me get down, but the new Bronco in blue is really nice, sweetheart. And I just think the guys down at the club would really like it if I had that. If I don't get four-wheel drive, it's like, what's the point? You know what I mean? Now, the tires do cost extra. They're aftermarket, but I think they're going to make a difference in comfortability as well. Yeah, I'm scared. I don't even want leather.
21:19I'm scared. You know, I'm scared for Ari though. I'm scared for Ari. I mean, as long as the pipes are still piping,
21:24Jason Stewart:I mean, she's got obviously an amazing voice and a deep catalog with beloved hits. But, you know, I feel bad when everyone's just like, can this bitch eat a sandwich? You know, obviously it's not that easy. No, yeah, that's what I mean. It's like, dude. Which is why. Can this bitch eat a sweet green wrap? this stan stuff has gotten i mean the macros the shit where people are posting like fan art because they're mad that charlie's out they don't understand charlie's album art like this would be better and it's just like ai it's a similar thing where it's like bitch she's a sandwich it's like you think if it was that easy don't you think she would just do it like that's not how this works guys it's like a disease it's not that it's it's not that black and white like you're you're so it's unbelievable like when they write the letters being like we don't like this music we wish you would we we we really care about you could you just rewrite your entire album and start over olivia we heard the first snippet of single two and we as a community reject it it's so it's honestly so dark and like the it feels like some real end time stuff to tell your favorite that what they did which you barely have the capacity to understand is not good enough for you as like a 15 year old olivia rodrigo fan is there because they're getting they're going crazy on the cure because they found killing an Arab.
22:42They're going crazy. They're going crazy.
22:44Jason Stewart:You mean like this is bad? Yeah, they're like, I can't believe she would collaborate with this old man who wrote... What if Robert Smith, he's going to change the lyrics to killing a Zionist and everyone's going to be like, dude, have you checked out this band The Cure? They're awesome. It's so crazy. It's so crazy. I saw that this morning too and I was like, dude, we got it. It was a different time. Look, Robert wrote that song 57 years ago. Okay, you guys, it's fine. Well, it's also, it's like, it's about the stranger. It's like about the Camu book that is considered, I don't know, one of the greatest books ever written, I think.
23:16So it's like, I don't expect the 14 year old from Madison, Wisconsin to understand that, but that's why we all have the same internet. You know, we all have, I'm not saying you're going to go read the stranger because you saw Liv Rodrigo collaborating with Robert Smith, but you've got to understand that things do have context even even in the 19 you know whatever late 70s early 80s when that song came
23:38Jason Stewart:out yeah i guess the uh the the average 13 year old american is not really searching for the existential meaning no of uh no of killing arab and what that means great song i um yeah i don't i didn't watch it's it's this all this weather this weekend has been fun to watch i gotta say the video of the um saa facility that's how slow living you are you're just posted up on on east hampton and you're like damn no dude no i've seen entertained by weather well no because everybody's having to cancel their shows at gov ball primavera people are canceling shows that's true and and the fucking co-working space for people that uh like scams is getting blown away it's a big it's a lot of you know it's like the bushwick soho house the bushwood saa the bushwick soho house saa not to be confused with slaa if you know what i'm saying um has been uh it's it's it's blown away in the wind and then you know people dev hightens had to reschedule his set i see cameron winter on the stage in the rain like he's johnny resident from the goo goo dolls from that famous performance so it feels like weather has really affected our summer festival season and they want to say that Freaking global warming's not happening.
24:50Jason Stewart:I heard that there's like a part of the Atlantic Ocean near Greenland where everywhere in the world is warming year over year. And then this one part is cooling. And it's like that's the first sign of an impending ice age. We'll probably die before that happens, though. Okay. I'd like to die right now. So let's see how far off that is. I don't know. I'm not super good with time. I mean, I've been living in the Ice Age ever since I bought some pieces off of the Texas State Police auction from Pee Wee Longway and them. I'm sitting on a blue M &M guy that, you know, it's giving Ice Age. No, when I hit the stage, I'm Ice Age.
25:31You know what I'm saying? What are the characters in Ice Age the movie? Is it like a...

25:35Jason Stewart:Bitch, I don't know. I like Ice Age the band, even though you're not allowed to like them either. No, I think they're back now because he's so hot and he's dating Jenna Ortega. Ginny Ortega. But the Ortegas, whatever her standard is called. Yeah, they don't like them. The mild, medium, or spicy. She doesn't have enough people to. But they're upset because I think early Ice Age imagery was like sort of, you know, they're on their black metal bag. Shockingly, the actress Jenna Ortegas fans did not understand. Not into the church burning? I saw that band do their Perfect Ten, like Pitchfork, and they all did a different one.
26:11And it was pretty all over the place. and then man it got to him and he's so hot and he's so talented and he says like mob deep or something he said he says like some i'm like dude come on man don't do that anything but that let him
26:23Jason Stewart:do let him do mob look look a lot of people can't can't fly that close to the sun and make it he can't he's gonna say he's gonna say i look like this i sound like this and mob deep i do i like the new if you can do it do it i like the new ice age actually i put a song on it from on the new hennaver playlist i didn't realize i listened to him before but that the shit he did with dean Blunt really blew my mind. That shit is a classic. It is. I know it's like six songs, but it's a real classic. No, it's really good. It's really good. I feel like if he sat down with a you know, a Dan Nigro, and they got in, him and Dean, and just knocked out, you know, 18 songs, whittled it down to 13, you know, he's doing fucking, he's opening for Ed Sheeran on that level.
27:01We have a classic. We have a classic on our hands. So you're right. Absolutely.
27:04Jason Stewart:Ortega's opening for him. Dude, what's she in? She was in, um, I don't know either. She played Wednesday Adams in the adams family i think that's what it was that's that's what it was that's what it was she's the the the modern day latina ricci oh she is very latina ricci damn good call bro you really have an eye for the ladies jason that's one thing they always say about you you know i wonder i mean i know that you're it's been a tough weekend for you in many ways um not only because you had to uh talk about keep the meter running on stage but you you um you you're asked him how come i was like how many how many female cab drivers are on this season and he said zero i said see if we get picked up for season two let's focus on a little more diversity so i watched everything it look it's great but i had a few questions um no but i i'm i mean i'm i know you've been busy and distracted and traveling but i i know that you're you're going through it right now a little bit because of what's going on it's just funny how whenever things like this happen i just like have to get super busy and go on seven trips.
28:10Jason Stewart:I'm working all day, all morning. I don't have time to deal with. I'm praying for you. Because you know who you need to reach out to for your support group, Anwar Hadid. He's the only guy going through it like you. He's my only soldier in the trenches, little Wari. Albanian legend, big reader, newsletter writer, and pop princess Dua Lipa has tied the knot, wed Callum Turner in a ceremony in Italy. And a lot of people are saying, pray for Jason. Is Jason good? Like, what's up? Chris, have you checked in with your boy? I'm like, of course I've checked in with him. And I just want, since we have this platform, I think it would be nice to let you speak for yourself.
28:53Jason Stewart:Thank you. Yeah. I mean, I'd like to think that she sort of controlled the rain since she made it rain in Primavera and Gov Ball and no rain in Sicily. you know no it is a beautiful night in sicily yeah beautiful night in sicily yeah i mean you know i'll you know i'm i'm fine you know i'm happy for like i'm good i should have to go cut the grass i'll be back in a little bit um no no it's it's totally fine i will say i mean i'm lashing out of course yeah yeah the um the people were talking about how the the wedding design was like they set up a bunch of books because they like but you know like they're they built like bookshelves and that was you know part of the the ambiance and the the decor and i said when i say it's giving west coast customs it is giving west coast customs do you like books i heard you like books so we turn your wedding into a library i mean i like that people are mad at her and you and and obviously we can't blame dua for that no that was a wedding that was a wedding planner somebody made a call and you know swing and a miss do it for your next wedding holler at me I'll send a deck over.
29:58I bet she would love to. I bet you would like that a lot. I think that the, she's getting a lot of shit for, you know, shutting down. I just don't like, I think these celebrity weddings, obviously there's a lot of people and a lot of security in the whole thing. So obviously the town does suffer to some extent. There's no arguing that, but apparently, you know, there's like a pizza place on the corner and she paid them five G's to shut down for the night. I mean, I don't, I just, I feel like these things are probably bad and good for the economy of these small Italian towns, places I hope to never visit again.
30:27Yeah. But I don't like to, you know, just disrupting the nature, whatever, the day in, day out, you know, sort of riding my scooter, drinking coffee, staring at the wall is, you know, is probably bad at the end of the day. But, I mean, you know, people got to get married, I guess.
30:44Jason Stewart:People do got to get married. And oddly enough, you know, the queen of unsustainability and Dua's peer and rival, I mean, maybe not rival, just peer, Taylor Swift is saying, you know what, I'm not going to go into a remote island and disrupt the local flora and fauna the same way that, you know, Israel is going to disrupt the Albanian flora and fauna and build a private island for a nuclear bunker. we're gonna get married and in a venue that was made for this stuff madison square garden here's the thing here's the thing i'm not gonna you're not gonna disrupt anything well i mean i guess for maybe um you know billy joel's 17th out of 45 nights or something like that or you know my question though is in the rumors i'm hearing this is she's running interference this is not it's not actually going to go down it's a diversion at msg but maybe somewhere else yeah exactly i i again i don't know i have no i have no i have no inside this is just a very loose i've heard other people it's not my it's not my original idea that's for sure but yeah i think that um how do the mechanics of that hoodwink even happen you know what i mean like we're gonna invite all of our friends and family to no no i don't think it's inviting anyone i think it's like the media saying it you know what i mean like because i don't know what proof the you know tmz has i don't know what harvey knows that we don't know but i i think that do a look the bottego was very nice i really like that dress but also i i don't know if this can be top elton john doing your song to walk down the aisle that's kind of is that's kind of as good as it gets man what could taylor swift do because she's literally gonna get ed sheeran to do happy birthday or something you know what i mean like i don't know what she could possibly do to compare i mean i i really thought George and Charlie's wedding you know having having young lean do Iggy pop and fucking have Maddie and his dad do perfect day like no but I'm talking down the aisle I'm talking down yeah yeah I guess Polichek Polichek was amazing that was awesome Elton John is I mean obviously Elton John is Elton John but I'm saying what because Taylor Swift doesn't have that kind of taste you know what I mean like what but what if she has it in her back pocket what if she's you know y 'all been sleeping on me this whole time she comes out with some wild shit you know what i mean yeah pavement does pavement does a couple of originals ladies and gentlemen throbbing gristle or you know just like we got you know i got the beatles back together you know or like paul mccartney is gonna play guitar for fleetwood mac or you know some wild yeah she could yeah that's true that's true she would do that i mean i i just forget that she has no interest in it being like tasteful and cool and probably only wants it to be it'll probably be fucking bleachers you know what i mean if we're if we're lucky if If the guests are lucky, it's the bleachers playing the wedding song.
33:32Jason Stewart:I'm hoping for Beyonce sings you down the aisle, humiliation ritual, something like that. It would be cool if she got a female songstress who could out sing her. That's actually a flex on her part. Well, I mean, many results found there. Sure, but Gwen Stefani is not available, I don't think, that night. She's not. I mean, Taylor's a fine musician and entertainer, songwriter, but people aren't like, damn, her singing and dancing is so top notch. she'll get the Whitney Houston hologram to come out and do something for the wedding yeah get Mariah Carey big ass out there who knows I don't even know who Taylor's goats are probably does Dixie Chicks Deadass Dashboard Professional which would be very cool for him Dashboard and Dolly Parton duet big I don't know who her goats are either because I feel like it's going to be I feel like she would talk about like sure of course you know whatever like saves the day or something I feel like there could be a weird i feel like it could be like actually i really want taking back sunday to play cute without the eat you know what i mean i could literally see that happening that's not that out of the question i don't you really think so i mean i think it would happen no no i think that i think that the actual like walk down the aisle song will be something it will be stevie nicks or whatever you know what i mean but i think that that at the party oh wow i mean i looked i just looked it up her favorite musicians the national fallout boy dashboard dixie chicks paramour bleachers mumford u2 and def leopard this is gettable bro all of those are gettable imagine the national doing blood buzz ohio for her to walk down the aisle damn that's a white boy a white boy can dream that's that's real talk bruce springsteen joni mitchell back to back doing a lana del rey cover now we're getting somewhere i mean that i wonder but i think that the the obviously the after party will be a who's who you know with bleachers the backing band or something i imagine but the actual down my aisle I would love to see bleachers playing in the hotel lobby with a little tip jar set up with the Venmo with the QR code richest guy there that would actually be really funny has Taylor had any of these bands open for her?
35:37Jason Stewart:has she had Dashboard open for her? I think maybe he's done something but I think usually she goes with it'll be like Gracie Abrams or Haim or like Phoebe Briggs. Yeah, I think she likes to go with the girlies in a show of solidarity. Pete Wentz up there. Let Pete get his little bag. Come on, man. Imagine Loaded God Complex, cock it and pull it, him spinning the bass around doing 360s as she walks down the aisle to Travis Kelsey grunting and putting up the horns, you know, in a tuxedo that he doesn't button. I could see it now. I could see it right now. It does make more sense to have Paramore opening, you know, doing 37 minutes beforehand more so than, you know, Def Leppard or...
36:14Yeah, Def Leppard feels like the odd man out on that list of her favorites.
36:17Jason Stewart:As much as I, I mean, Def Leppard, part of my young childhood was greatly influenced by Def Leppard. I used to listen to that shit when I was a kid all the time. One of my least favorite. One of my least favorite things ever is that genre of music. I hate it. I know. It's ugly. Chris, when the waiter says, would you like me to pour some sugar on you? You say, no, no. No, no, no, no. It's undeniably a hit. I'm not stupid, but I just am like, Everything about that is just offensive to me as far as if that comes on, I will turn it off. You said you like cocaine, but you don't like it that way. Yeah, exactly.
36:53There's other ways to enjoy it. Exactly. There's a different way for everyone to enjoy it. We have to remember that at the end of the day.
37:00Jason Stewart:Congrats on the wedding. The wedding was also giving George and Charlie have the London courthouse wedding ceremony and then off to the Sicilian official party thingy, like a page right out of their book. I mean, I think people do this every day, but we only know about these two. I know. You know what I mean? I'm more interested in the hat wearing because that is something that feels so distinctly British to me, to have a young, beautiful woman wear a hat to get married. But then when we were at dinner, they were saying, oh, that's not necessary. Like guests would do that maybe, but not the actual bride.
37:39it's kind of giving british quinceañera it looked cool i mean actually i i'm not mad at it i just was like that feels like a real uh decision to make i guess is what i would say yeah it's a power
37:48Jason Stewart:move where you're like definitely i'm gonna wear a hat of the big floppy ass hat on my wedding day and i'm still gonna look better than you it's a flex you know i'm sure it's some sort of you know uh the milliner the queen uses or something i'm sure it's not just some hat i mean maybe it's Schiaparelli, but it can't just be somehow. The Queen's millionaire. The Queen's millionaire. Well, speaking of Madison Square Garden, though, Phoebe announced her tour, and she said, no phones, bro, at the whole tour. Every arena, no phones. Yonder pouch. And now the ableists, they're saying it's ableist. They're saying that I need my screen to concentrate because I might have a seizure.
38:25This episode of How Long Gone is brought to you by a new podcast from The Guardian, stateside with Kai and Carter. this is covering a lot of our bases jason it's a it's trying to slow down the news and wrestle with the questions we all have about what's happening in the world and i know you particularly
38:42Jason Stewart:have quite a lot of questions a lot of questions but how often because we do this podcast three times a week and that's a sweet spot how many times do they do three times a week and i i have a feeling just based on the platform and these talking points that they're maybe going to be covering different stuff than we do that's just a guess the guardian is not some billionaire owned platform. They're not afraid to say what they want to say, brother. Yeah, Rupert ain't sniffing around in what journalists Kai Wright and Carter Sherman are up to over there at Stateside. But yeah, listen wherever you get your podcasts.
39:14You can watch it on YouTube. It's three times a week. And who couldn't use more news? You know, especially when it's not, you know, from here, let's say. Give it a listen. Give it a listen. All right, this episode of How Long Gone has brought you back. Quince, Jason, the temps are warming up. It's getting hot out there. Summer always changes how I get dressed. I need pieces that feel lighter, more breathable, and they're just easy but still put together. I don't want to look like a slob. That's why I keep coming back to Quince. They focus on high-quality essentials that feel and look amazing. Breathable linen and soft organic cottons, well-made basics but without the luxury markups.
39:52That rare balance where everything feels elevated but still effortless.
39:56Jason Stewart:Yeah, Chris, linen season is here. I wore a linen blazer to dinner a few nights ago in the warm California sun. But, you know, you got that Italy trip coming up this summer and quality European linen pants and shirts. Upgrade that look starting at just$34, you know. If you get a nice linen suit, a little t-shirt underneath it, some chill shoes. You're looking good, but you're staying cool. The inside of your special areas are nice and dry as you turn up with your besties. So elevate that summer wardrobe. Go to quince.com slash howlong for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns, even on a nice holiday now available in Canada.
40:40Jason Stewart:That is quince.com slash howlong. That'll get you free shipping and 365 day returns. quince.com slash how long that's what they're that's what they're out here saying i've seen really dude i've seen some of the most amazing people are saying it's classist people are saying it's this is saying it's that and it's like dude i think it's annoying but i also think that like if that's what she wants to do and you want to go see her then that's the decision you get to make you know what i mean like if she's instituting the policy it's her tour if you don't want to go then don't buy a ticket i don't you said people are saying it's classist yeah people are saying it's classist i'm not i didn't really read like some of us are like so um whatever at risk or disadvantaged that if we don't have access to our phone at all times it's like a micro trauma aggression or something that is my loose understanding i didn't read the white paper on it from user 126678 but i i do believe that there is they'll find a way to make it offensive or or classist or racist well this is this is this is this is it's unbelievable because this is sort of what when we say you can't choose your fans like she's literally she's literally doing this because she's probably like this would be a better experience for everyone and i see her i see her side like if i went to that show i will i will play ball to see how it feels because i think it's interesting but i really don't think there's any sort of i mean well i think it's a great idea and i think it's cool and it's you're doing the difficult thing you're fighting the You're going against the grain.
42:12Jason Stewart:It's a very hard thing to do. Yeah. But you can't do it at Barclays. You have to do it at the... The venue has to be 1 ,000 cap and under to have 30 ,000 people and the whole infrastructure. Let's not go. Let's be 16, but sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Barclays, two nights. 15. Barclays, two nights. 15 plus 15. We got 30. I'm rounding up. You're rounding down. We're still getting there. but you know any of these venues where it's several thousands of people the infrastructure that it all takes for everyone to do that it's such a pain it's such a headache so you you either just like hey guys please put your phones down if you if you just say that doesn't work though that's i think it might if you do because there's there's three options you can you can do the yonder case no phones allowed everyone's pissed it's fucking annoying it's not that you're just going to like film the entire concert but just like hey i need to like text my mom or like whatever like it's a pain in the ass and it's really i agree with all that i agree with all that i'm saying to you that if there's any costs associated with it yeah and and like infrastructure that's definitely on her and yonder like they're paying for it and yeah of course so there's no it's not getting passed along title's gonna pay for it but everyone is upset about it like she's bummed that she has to do it.
43:29Jason Stewart:All the people that work at Madison Square Garden or Barclays are upset that they have to do this shit. All of their fans are upset. The only person winning is Yonder. That's right. I feel like with her crowd, if she really came out and did a really good, thoughtful speech to the point where you would be shamed and embarrassed if you had your phone out filming it after what she said, it's not going to be 100 % conversion rate of no phone use, but I think it'll be good enough to where it's not like, you know, it's not like you're at a cat's eye concert and people are just like filming it on their iPads.
44:06Jason Stewart:Like, you know, like your grandma at the museum, you know what I mean? Yeah. They got three phones strapped to their body to get every angle. No, I agree with you. If you give them a really good speech and her audience, they want to do the right thing. They fancy themselves. Her audience is obnoxiously respectful. Yeah. They're like people who, yeah, they're people who like everything's a microaggression. Everything's a microaggression, but I guess what I'm saying is, Come on the pod, Phoebe. We'll talk about it. If we look at it from a more macro standpoint, I think it's crazy. I think it's a big swing from her.
44:35I think the whole point is that it's in these big venues. I think that's the whole point of the whole statement. Oh, okay. Because doing it at Mercury Lounge is like... She's working big to small. Well, I'm just saying, doing it at Mercury Lounge is like, yeah, we could do that. You know what I mean? Who gives a shit? Anybody can do that. I think that doing it at this scale is the real statement, whether you agree, disagree, or don't care. I think that's why people are talking about it. I think when it's something small,
44:57Jason Stewart:who no one cares you know it doesn't matter it's true i think there needs to be an innovation in this space because simply locking your phone up inside of a plastic bag it's more of a it's more of a ballistic cadora but yeah i agree with you i agree with you you say ballistic fedora no it's a fabric but i hadora okay ballistic but so what i'm saying is we need to figure out a way because the only reason she wants everybody to pay attention to the show put the phone down don't film it don't take photos you know there's going to be videos shot by professionals that appear on social media that you'll be watching on the car ride home you know you don't need to share on social media that you were there there has to be a way it's sort of like um i don't know you know like the sticker that goes on your phone at san vicente bungalows maybe you have to like download an app or there has to be some type like an in-between technology brick where you walk in like bring in the phone everyone can bring their phone in you could go on social media you can text your grandma you could tell the baby no no no no here's the thing you ever want you just if you pull up the phone app to take a photo or a video for that hour and a half that she's playing you cannot do it you can do that with brick that's what i'm saying get bricked up all you can do is text to get a rod and use unfortunately the only way to really do it you know in a mandated way is giving sort of uh black mirror kind of palantir technology like oh we we can do that right now but if we did there would be like you know national panic called mass mass hysteria i i just don't think it's like i just the way that people are like so sort of like offended by it is strange to me i get that it's annoying and i wouldn't want to do it but i'm like if you like so if like i don't know if if whatever the killers are playing and they said chris put your phone in a pouch and I want to go, I'm just going to go and put the phone in the pouch.
46:47It's fine. Like, I don't want, I don't want to do that. And it's annoying, but if I wanted, you know, if that's the roadblock between me and what I want, I'm, I can live with that, I guess is what I'm trying to say. It's not that it's, it's annoying of course, but it's not the end of the people are acting like this is the end of the world. You know, it's like no one, no one put gas on you, lit you on fire guys. You're just getting to see what you want to see, but you can't take videos to share with your group chat. Like, is that really so bad?
47:10Jason Stewart:Yes, it is. Because nowadays, I mean, she's trying to unlearn the world by saying, hey, the point of going to a movie or a show or a concert is you're enjoying art and media in a group setting with full attention. Like when I was on stage with Kareem and Adam yesterday, I was saying, I watched this episode on my iPad in the sauna. I'm watching it. I like it. Maybe you'll pull out your phone, look at a couple of texts, blah, blah, blah. And you're like, oh, it was good. is good but i watched it in a movie theater in darkness full attention and it was i was like this is completely different much more enjoyable i actually like the show now you know just weird stuff like that and yeah it made a difference it made a difference because you weren't distracted but it does make a difference so you really are going to enjoy that show but for for the 14 year old fan of whoever this is who is in you know instating this rule i would say that they don't even know that that possibility is out there to enjoy it.
48:12Jason Stewart:And the priority, I guess when you're buying that$100 and whatever,$117 ticket after fees and services and everything and the Uber and everything, the reason why you're spending all that money is because you can turn that into the dopamine rush of posting a video or photo on your social media, bragging about it to your friends or whatever it is you that's that's the root source of the enjoyment and the value proposition for going to these things more so than the experience of enjoying the art yourself totally that's why i think she's that's what i'm saying i think she's fighting the good challenge i think she's actually challenging the audience which no one really does because they just want the money and i would say to circle the square a flex and a power move while we're talking about blue dot fever everyone is having such a hard time selling tickets and she's saying watch i'll do barclays two nights with yonder bitch yeah that's that is a big that is a and it will sell out for sure like i have no i know pussycat dolls was like and it's yonder well the dude msg is really in the news because i'll see all 37 of you guys tonight they're saying that the they're saying that trump's coming to the game tonight monday night yeah bing bong and you can't they they you're not allowed to have the the viewing parties outside you can't spill into the street let me say something about let me say something about these little viewing parties you guys like why on earth would i go stand outside in the street to watch something that i can watch at home and enjoy we were just talking about the the beauty of communal viewing sports makes people act insane though like the communal viewing is going to turn to a riot like it's not you know what i mean it's not like a it's not that yes you're saying it like that's a bad thing like that's what they don't want just this is the most obnoxious i've ever i mean watch our team win we You want to tie a bandana around a bottle of Hennessy.
50:08Jason Stewart:And then at the end, win, lose, or draw, I want to light a fucking cop car on fire. I'm only happy for the kid Miro. That's the only person I'm happy for. And Shiv. I'm just like, you guys are acting insane. I guess what I don't, I will never understand because I've never felt it in my life. Like that much care or pride for something that doesn't really affect me or my life at all. Zero. At all. Yeah. Like if a millionaire wins a trophy for playing game, I don't make any money. No one, you know, it doesn't affect me at all. There's no up. There's no down. It's just a net zero. And I don't understand.
50:45I don't, I really, it's really hard for me to wrap my head around it. Like whether it's Arsenal, whether it's the Knicks, whether, you know, whether it's the, you know, whatever, the Dodgers. I just don't. What is the point? Like truly, what is the point?
50:57Jason Stewart:um i think that you know these sports teams are so deeply rooted in in familial dna generational you know sure sure it's i mean i i see both sides i agree with you a hundred percent obviously i don't really give a shit about who wins the sports game i like watching a good game i don't like watching a bad game unless it's a super bowl yeah i'm not even saying i won't watch it i i've been watching it i totally i'm watching that's i just mean yeah i agree with you but also i see the other side where like sports really is that one thing that is just like it's still it's like the last form of whatever like human expression that still has some shred of magic left in it that hasn't been really ruined we have a few more years left until it is completely ruined but it really does create some of those tunnel fits have ruined it for me but that's a different that's a different conversation i mean that that was a big part of it that was a large chunk of the whole pie chart but you know just you know sports betting and all the money and vc phone you know buying the football clubs and other countries and you know the whole thing is is is basically done and ruined and and the the vultures are picking over it all the magic is gone all we do have now is the savannah bananas and whatever i just really don't i really was thinking about it a lot but but it really is that last thing of magic where like it can make strangers it's like the it's the best bonding thing in the world well for men who can't for men who can't bond i think that's the real let's be serious well for for men who can't bond yes but more even for like global relations you know what i mean like if i have nothing in common with this person because we live in different countries speak different languages or whatever like that ball that you hand somebody you know that is more so than food more so than clothing more so than any like human expression that is like the most universal language of all time still yeah it's a it's a shame that that football still won't take off here but i know what you mean i i just no no i agree i understand all of this like i think you're totally right and i know why people i just think that the the way it's like people's brains completely turn off and they behave it's like being in the airport for people they just behave like absolute maniacs like they don't have to go to their job tomorrow or something it's like dude this team won this millionaire got got like it's all good every this doesn't you have no you get to wear an ugly jersey i guess maybe but like what is the i really don't understand caring about something that much that doesn't affect you at all like but i guess it makes you feel something so that's what if how it affects you yeah do you be you know i don't know i i just don't like i am happy for the i am happy for the I think another thing is, you know, I'm more so into rooting for like individuals that you could find, you know, relatable.
53:43Yeah, like I want to see Jalen Brunson win because he seems like a guy who deserves it. You know, he's worked hard. He deserves it. He doesn't do any stupid shit.
53:51Jason Stewart:With a hairline like that, get the guy a dub. He needs something, right? Bro, I mean, he's not wearing, you know, fucking Balenciaga down. He looks like a normal guy who married like a white six. He's good. he's like a nice normal guy like it's it's like it's not you know he's not wearing parachute pants and a louis vuitton backpack to go to cleveland on a tuesday it's it's just but i just don't it's just the way people act is it's gotten i mean obviously people say it's like it's like when people say marathon day is the best day in new york even though it ruins traffic and etc etc like this is the best new york has ever been is because the basketball team is winning for the first time in a long time and if that is the case then i'm concerned if that's really what it takes because this happens once every 40 years or whatever, then we're in for some trouble.
54:35This is the best it's ever been.
54:37Jason Stewart:Yeah, the Mets ain't going to do it. But, you know, like you were saying, happy for our close friends who are Knicks fans. You know, this is... Of course. We're doing this for the Eddie Wongs and the Shivs and, you know, everyone else in our lives. But, you know, I personally do want to see the Knicks lose for all the reasons that you're saying. In addition to Wemby, I feel like I'm a little kid watching, you know, ronaldo or whatever like you're my guy like you you represent me you're you know i see like when i'm like the adorkable chick and i you know audrey hobart come out on stage i'm like finally like oh shit this is my thing bro this much yeah and i see what you mean so you're feeling you're feeling you're you're having wimby's representation for them genes so you want to see him yeah as a member of tall guy nation or whatever as a member of lanky lads anonymous i feel my civic duty in my large long body to be rooting for wendy on a molecular level you know yeah that's fine i think that's i think that's absolutely and also when i was a kid david robinson on the spurs he was one of my original shooters i always liked him yeah yeah so you know he's sort of he's i get it he's carrying the torch he's carrying the flag every every time wendy makes a clutch point you see david robertson he looks like his son is playing basketball he's crying he's cheering he's like that's my boy like it's it's a beautiful thing to see for us tall guys you know what i mean big guys rule give us a shot we deserve a break every once in a while big men rule yeah the guy that's making 200 million dollars big men rule i think that's a good i think that's actually the best reason i've heard to to root for the spurs and like that's why all the like annoying guys you know who are rooting for you know steph curry or whatever like they need their guy because does anybody root for steph curry though like steph curry is insufferable the insufferable motherfuckers in your life they're doing that and they're like man i my life sucks because i'm insufferable everyone hates me and then you see a guy who's like he this is my way out this is my guy you know maybe one day i can get a shoe deal for a chinese manufacturer you know what i mean hey don't leaning is the shit don't come for leaning i i want to there's a shirt that's been going around that people are very excited about that's from a viral statement a young man made my mayor muslim my bagel jewish my christian dior my nixon four and i just want to say that's the most loser shit i've ever seen in my entire existence that this is what clunky this is what we think is cool like we're making t-shirts this is just as bad as new york or nowhere like this is just as bad is waiting in line at blank street and people have decided that somehow it's not because it's a sport like what do we this is the same corny shit guys hey man this is why i don't live in new york it's mad corny there well i was saying it before um you know nicks fans are the most pick me quote unquote fans you know in the nba they really want to make it about themselves they they don't want to celebrate their team winning they want to be you know they want the entire frame of the news camera to have their face in it it's just pick me pick me pick me and you know everyone in new york who live is the most pick me city in the world you could argue but definitely you know unfortunately new york is full half of people who are are pick me and have succeeded and then half people who have who have not been picked but are still giving pick me yeah and that's the problem new york needs to clean these streets up and get these pick me pickers who are unpicked they're gonna go don't worry they're gonna get the frick out of here they're gonna go back to the midwest no offense kevin morby they're going back to the midwest for sure eventually we all show me when they keep coming dude what is that well i'm i want what do you think is going on i'm this is why j-lo has to speak out yeah because you walk down any street in manhattan and it looks like you know you're in the midwest no it's the west village it's all the all the problems in new york city are located in the west village and that's why it's the worst neighborhood in the world.
58:40Jason Stewart:What if Tool made a song, they made a song about we need to cut California off of America and let it float into the ocean and die. We need to have Tool write a song about the West Village sinking off into the Hudson. Well, West Village, Bushwick, Ridgewood, I can think of, we could do a few. You're going to have to do some spot treatments all over the place? Well, I'm just saying, I think that for the sake of the game it should be as large as the scale as California. So we would have to pick several you know what i mean just based on the existing lyrics you have to pick several you know how many new yorks fit in california quite a lot but i'm just that's what i'm saying it gives me a little more leeway with my creativity but what is going on what's going on okay so ben stiller fat joe and timothy chalamet are god i saw a photo sorry for interrupting fat joe was celebrating because he he went to san antonio because he's a road dog yeah they all know that's what that's what i was gonna say they went over there and fat joe is celebrating he's moving his arms up in the air and somebody said fat joe's got wheelchair arms but dude they're they're they're sharing a private jet together they were going like really yeah those three are on the jet so fat joe ben stiller and who's the third timothy wow what a trio kylie jenner's posting thought pics on vacation her man's in san antonio with the fellas i heart i heart me get a get three mics and a fucking engineer on that plane but ben stiller's got a fucking mini fridge for trt on the fucking plane those fucking biceps and fat and fat joe's just drinking tequila like what on earth this is what i mean about sports it's so fascinating it's like those three people could not have less in common besides being famous and liking the knicks in in many many ways sure new york that's all you need to know i don't living in the same place does not mean i have anything in common with you that is that is just not that is not enough yeah but they're not they're not just living there they don't just happen to be living there i know like that is their identity that is their home that's where they've been that's their whole thing so that's like i was saying sports it bonds those three people together when three people have absolutely nothing in common you hand them that orange ball and that blue and orange jersey that you love so much chris and now suddenly common ground bread is broken fat's fat's gonna eat it all but the bread is broken that's my whole point do you think anyone calls fat joe fat as a nickname no he's lost weight now he's he's less fat joe right back in the day because you know you little wayne people just call wayne you know what i mean yeah but wayne's a name fat but what if people just call them lil what if people just call no one's ever no one's ever called fat joe fat like as as that's it yo this is just a thought experiment i mean maybe i know you were i know you're a big terror squad guy if you look through the liner notes i'm sure you could find some thank yous maybe where a tertiary terror squad member called him fat in the in the in the thank yous maybe that's it's not i mean we got slim why can't we get fat that's honestly that's the best point you've made so far there are plenty of there are a lot of slims sorry for the sorry for the the odd diversion you were saying i'm just saying i just think that i just think like what are those guys doing on the playing like besides drinking and talking about basketball it's like like do you think they talk about anything but basketball or do you think that's all they talk maybe like do you think maybe fat joe and timothy have a chat about you know clothes or something and then maybe ben stiller and him talk about acting like what on earth could those three people talk about besides sports i got one idea kylie jenner yeah that's all three that's an interest area for all three obviously fat's a little more interested in digging into the photo the photo album than ben but we don't know we don't know ben's flavor we don't know ben's flavor i think i think on the jet with those three kylie's everybody's flavor for that three-hour flight you know from from ben stiller's wife um christina christine taylor the uh comedic actress i believe she was on uh nickelodeon's hey dude from my old heads out there yeah she's a legend and they like broke up and got back together it's like a whole thing so i'm happy for him i think ben they got kids Ben's fine.
1:02:41That trio.
1:02:43Jason Stewart:Well, yeah, Ben, he's just a man with flesh and blood in him. He sees a couple bikini pics of Kylie on the lip balm retreat, and he'll give it a little double tapper. Well, I mean, look, he's an artist himself, so I'm sure Timothy's like, you know, she's asking him which to post, and he's sharing it with the fellows and their help. You know, I can see it now. Well, and also Ben Stiller, obviously known as being like a jacked, like a low sleeper build you know what i mean he's he because of his uh short height he is you know sort of made up for that by always being in insane shape so i'm sure he's given timmy tips on how to bulk up for summer and then fat and him are exchanging you know eating disorder tips and he's congratulating on his body transformation fat's asking ben like hey you know my lats no good you know what do you got for me bro do not do that fat joe fat joe don't got no lats don't do that dude don't do that don't do fat joe does not have lat key he ain't got he ain't got no lats and then ben's like i like a lat key he's like okay fat a little more applesauce a little less sour cream next shiva okay i forget though stiller is a national treasure though what a what a great he's given us a lot i i joke about his trt use and he's definitely on steroids because no 75 or whatever 65 real man tropic thunder and zoolander that duo he's in the rafters no he's an all-timer he's an all-timer but he's ruining his legacy with sports fandom which can happen to the best of us yeah that's that's the problem some of these people you hit a certain age and we don't have to put you out to pasture but you know let's keep you in the shed let's keep you in the shed um all right man how long gone oh we've done it again ladies and gentlemen a beautiful sunday uh we'll be back next week with more podcasts and um thank you to fishwife for sending us delicious smoked trout and i was i was imagining yeah i got trolled by fishwife because the audrey holbert fishwife collaboration the packaging is so good because it looks like a special k box that i had to post it thank you audrey you're the only person that i would ever post fishwife for but i i like because it's funny because you're you're talking about the tin fish folks about you know homeless guys pirates you You know, stuff like that.
1:04:59Jason Stewart:And I'm imagining, you know, some Nepalese mountain climber who's like, you know what? I only eat Audrey Hobart smoked trout. It's just my shit. You know, I got hooked on this stuff and I need my Hobart. And maybe Hobart, he's got the little picture of Hobart in his tent. It's so funny. It's a Hobart in the tent. Pen to the tent. Thank you guys for listening. Oh, wait, sorry. And lastly, lastly, before I forget, people who we owe some merch shipments to, I've been out of town and traveling. we had some merch problems with our distributor and not all of our stuff is here so some of you guys will be getting stuff with some extra special bonus items in there to make up for the lack of and don't worry we'll never we'll never we will never sell merch again so this is the last time you'll ever have to deal with this but then also for the people who bought stuff that we did not have in stock because of the distributor kind of mishap you will be getting a full refund and if If that is the case, we will do that.
1:05:55Jason Stewart:Or if you want something else, I can just give you a mystery package of stuff that we have. But hit up Chris on the DMs and we'll get it sorted out. Thank you so much, guys. Jesus Christ. Thank you.
